Dr Marzieh Ahangarpour is a postdoctoral researcher at Simon Fraser University and TRIUMF, Canada’s particle accelerator centre. Her work lies at the interface of bioconjugate chemistry, radiochemistry, and radiopharmaceutical development, with a focus on developing new radiolabelling methods for the design, synthesis, and evaluation of PET radiotracers. Before joining Simon Fraser University and TRIUMF, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, where she worked on bioconjugate chemistry and antibody–drug conjugates for targeted cancer therapy. Building on this expertise, and motivated by her interest in the rapidly growing field of radiochemistry for cancer imaging and therapy, she moved to Canada to work at TRIUMF and further develop her expertise as a bioconjugate radiochemist.
