- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Jody Mason is a Professor of Biochemistry in the Department of Life Sciences at the University of Bath. His research interests focus on library-based discovery of protein-protein interaction inhibitors. His group employs a variety of intracellular peptide library screening approaches with a view to identifying those capable of antagonising the function of key proteins that are implicated in disease. The approaches have been applied to a range of therapeutically relevant systems that includes oncogenic transcriptional regulators, as well as β-amyloid and α-synuclein proteins, key factors implicated in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases.
