M.Sc. Samilla B. Rezende is a Ph.D. student at S-Inova Biotech - Universidade Católica Dom Bosco
(UCDB), Brazil, with a research interest in drug discovery, peptide-based drugs, structural biology, and
microbiology. M.Sc. Rezende has experience in peptide science, microbiology and computational biophysics,
including molecular modelling, docking and dynamics simulations of peptide-membrane systems. She also
has understanding of circular dichroism and nuclear magnetic resonance for structure characterization of
biological active peptides. Currently, MSc. Rezende is developing her Ph.D. under the supervision of Marlon
Henrique Cardoso Ph.D. and Prof. Octávio Luiz Franco. Additionally, she has contributed as a co-author in
seven publications in international journals and two book chapters. Finally, M.Sc. Rezende is the inventor of
one patent
