I am a PhD student in medical and molecular science at James Cook University. During my PhD, I have been focusing on the characterisation of peptides with wound healing potential. My studies involve using NMR spectroscopy to determine the structure of peptides and cell proliferation assays. My research has provided insight into the structure/function relationships of the peptides with potential in the development of drug leads, which might ultimately be useful in developing novel wound healing agents for diabetic ulcers.
