- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Juan Del Valle earned his B.S. in Chemistry from Carleton College in 1999 and his Ph.D. from the University of California San Diego in 2004 working under the supervision of Prof. Murray Goodman. Fascinated with the synthesis of biologically active and structurally complex peptides, he carried out postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of Prof. Stephen Hanessian at the University of Montreal. In 2006, Juan began his independent career at New Mexico State University and moved to the Moffitt Cancer Center at the University of South Florida in 2009. In 2019, Juan joined the faculty of the University of Notre Dame, where he is currently the William K. Warren Professor of Chemistry & Biochemistry. His research interests lie at the interface of organic synthesis and chemical biology, with a focus on the development of conformationally constrained peptidomimetics inspired by peptide natural products.
