Xinya Hemu
China Pharmaceutical University, JIANGSU, China
- This delegate is presenting an abstract at this event.
Xinya Hemu is a professor in School of Traditional Chinese Medicine at China Pharmaceutical University. She is received her Ph.D in the topics of peptide ligation chemistry in 2014 from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and continued her post-doctoral research in NTU, focusing on the design and biosynthesis of active peptides. She moved to Nanjing and Joined China Pharmaceutical University in 2022 and started her career as an independent PI. Dr. Hemu’s main contribution to the peptide society is the discovery, application, and design of natural peptide ligases called peptide asparaginyl ligase (PAL), one of the most efficient and versatile protein engineering tools. Her recent research interest are the design and synthesis of cyclic peptide drugs based on natural stable peptides from TCMs, and the computer-assisted design of newly discovered peptide biosynthesis enzymes.
