I am particularly enthusiastic about the development and application of novel solutions to real-world challenges. My doctoral research on peptide-based fluorescent sensors for the detection of toxic metal ions like mercury and methyl mercury, selective detection of homocysteine among other thiols, sensitive and selective detection of heparin sulfate and its application in living cells, detection of hydrogen peroxide selectively among other reactive oxygen species and successful application in a live cell, has provided me with valuable experience in creating innovative sensor designs with enhanced sensitivity and selectivity. This work has honed my ability to conceptualize, develop, and optimize projects from initial design to successful execution.
